DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY FOR QUALIFICATIONS
Prof. Dr. Časlav B. Mitrović
Prof. Dr. Časlav B. Mitrović was born on September 19, 1958, in Vlasotince. In 1984, he graduated from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – profile of a graduate mechanical engineer for aerospace engineering.
He defended his master's thesis in 1991, thus obtaining the academic degree of Master of Technical Sciences – profile of Aviation. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 1997 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, thus obtaining the academic degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. He is a full professor in the narrower scientific field of AVIATION at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade at the Department of Aviation. He served as the Head of the Department of Aviation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for two terms, from October 2017 to October 2021 (the Department of Aviation encompasses two modules – the Aviation Module and the Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology Module, of which he is the founder). He is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and scientific activities both at the Department of Aviation and at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in general. He was the Head of the Center for Aviation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade
Professor Mitrović, within his scientific activities, is the author of scientific monographs of national and international significance, editor of a thematic collection of national significance, and author of several dozen published scientific papers in leading international and national journals, as well as a permanent reviewer for several international journals. He is the head of the Aerodynamics Laboratory – Aerotunnel "Miroslav Nenadović," which houses the largest university aerotunnel in Europe. He is an expert in the field of experimental aerodynamics, mechanics, and dynamics of flight of aircraft, object-oriented paradigms, and the creation, development, and implementation of application software. He actively uses English and French.
He leads and participates in numerous projects of cooperation with the economy, both in the field of aviation and in the field of ecology and environmental protection, and is the author of many technical and software solutions and patents. He also leads and participates in numerous court expert evaluations for aircraft damages, collaborates with the largest global insurance company LLOYD, and is an expert in accident investigation at the Center for Accident Research and Serious Accidents of the Government of Serbia. As the Director of the Alumni Foundation of the Faculty, he provided strong support to graduated engineers in finding jobs, starting their own businesses, and opening small enterprises, as well as in integrating into the professional engineering community.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Serbia number KOPR 44 dated February 12, 2021, for special merits for the Republic of Serbia and its youth in the field of educational activities and industrial development, he was awarded the gold medal for merit.
International Cooperation Activities of the Agency for Qualifications
- are carried out within the Director's Cabinet and include:
- determining the priorities, content, and modalities of the Agency's international cooperation, as well as monitoring their implementation;
- mapping key partners – international institutions, bodies, and organizations responsible for the development of qualifications, implementation of the NQF, and alignment of the NQF with the EQF in the territory of the European Union and beyond;
- drafting, harmonizing, and concluding agreements and protocols on cooperation, as basic documents that define specific activities of the Agency's international cooperation;
- planning, preparing, applying, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the realization of projects financed from EU funds and other international funds;
- coordinating and preparing for the participation of Agency representatives in international meetings and events;
- cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration, the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Serbia, relevant national bodies, as well as European institutions and bodies of member states in the process of implementing development programs and projects financed from EU funds.
